Sreekar Mothukuri is an author, sports entrepreneur, coach, and multi-sport athlete.
His mission is “to help children fall in love with physical activity using fun and innovative methods, and guide parents who want to realize their child’s dream of becoming a sports champion."
After completing his engineering degree, he pursued a corporate job in India and the US. After 14 years, he left his high-paying corporate job to pursue his passion for sports.
He was the captain of a two-day cricket league team in Hyderabad, played Table Tennis at the state level and badminton at the university level. He was the city champion in Tennis in Houston, USA.
Growing up in the early ‘90s, Sreekar was an avid cricket player. He wanted to go professional, but due to a lack of knowledge and guidance, he could not pursue his passion for becoming a professional cricket player. He started "Dream About Sports" in 2013 to help aspiring sports parents with the information required to make their child a professional player.
He traveled across the globe and got his coaching certifications in Motor skill learning, Learning and behavior through the power of play, Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD), Double goal coach certification: Coaching for winning and life lessons coach.
He is the founder of “It’s PlayTime,” established in 2017. “It’s PlayTime” is a sports readiness curriculum focusing on motor skills for children ages 12 and under. Currently, it serves over 5000 children across various schools in India.
In 2019, Sreekar was interviewed on "ETV LIFE", a regional TV channel, to discuss the importance of sports for overall well being.
